First designed as a custom chair on behalf of Trinity Wall St church for the new parish hall that makes up the first 5 floors of the podium in the Pelli-Clarke-Pelli designed 76 Trinity Place tower in lower Manhattan, the LH-42 was designed from the outset to be a timeless yet contemporary dining chair and café chair, able to stack up to 8 tall (ply seat, 6 tall if upholstered) and withstand the rigours of every day use in commercial and contract environments such as restaurants, cafés, corporate offices, and high-end office canteens, as well as being ideal for private dining rooms and residential interiors.
Most importantly, it was designed by us to be easy to reconfigure and easy to refurbish from the outset, giving it a potential lifespan of many decades.
